#Photowalk Challenge June/July : Tiny Critter

I meant to post this a few days ago, when I found this little critter on a walk through my garden. Ok, so not an out and about walk, but tiny walk for a tiny critter! 😉

This little bug was so small that I didn’t know if it was a moth, a butterfly of sorts or just some other little, winged critter.

And as I spotted that we have some excellent critter identification going on by our walkers, happening as part of this months #photowalk, I thought i’d sent it and see.

The photo doesn’t indicate how small it actually was, not larger than a finger nail!

So, anyone know of a lillyput moth?

Quite a nice looking moth . The new boy ones I see are all grey. Looks like a wee butterfly with all the colours as well.

Its so sweet. I looked at the butterfly conservation site and I wonder if it is a mint moth?

I used to live near the South Downs and I am sure I have seen tiny butterflies around there. That would fit with the habitat that the link below says.

fabulous! That looks like it is! And we have mint and thyme and marjoram and sage just a meter from where I spotted these. So it all makes sense! Brilliant!
